Ernst Kasiske, a Glashütte watchmaker, started a collaboration with a Berlin watch dealer. From this collaboration, Glashütter Präzisions- Uhren-Fabrik A.G. developed in 1904. It produced Glashütter precision pocket watches, mainly Caliber 43, with all well known Glashütter features. A special feature is the Glashütter gold anker escapement with anker limitation according to Kasiskes patent.
The production was based on a modern, industrial production and should enable a high degree of automation with large series with the highest quality standards. Therefore, however, a restriction was still required in the assortment. Thus one concentrated in the Glashütter precision clock factory on a caliber 43 mm and reached an annual production of circa 1.000 pocket watches. In addition to Glashütter pocket watches from 1913, the Präzisions Uhren Fabrik A.G. also produced wristwatches, making it the first company in Glashütte to choose a serial production for this product group.
