A very fine, rare Glashütte hunting cased minute repeating pocket watch – manufactured in quality 1A – with Lange extract from the archives, circa 1885. Sold on 09/07/1885 to Dürrstein & Co., Dresden for 1120 Marks.
18 carat pink gold case, tiered, polished and case design “Louis XV à goutte”, with gold dome, glazed movement and large lateral hinge. Signed enamel dial with Arabic hours, auxiliary seconds, red minutes and seconds and gold Louis XV hands. 3/4 plate movement, frosted, gilt, with screwed gold chatons, two hammers / two gongs, gold screw compensation balance, florally hand-engraved balance cock, gold lever and escape wheel and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
