An extremely rare, almost as new, German silver open faced half seconds beating deck chronometer, circa 1913. Frosted, gilt 2/3 plate movement, blued screws, Grossmann’s pivoted detent chronometer escapement with two screwed gold chatons, gold screwed compensation balance, blued helical freesprung balance spring, very fine florally hand engraved balance cock, chatoned diamond endstone on balance, gold chatoned ruby endstone on chronometer wheel and pivoted detent. Matt silvered dial with radial Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds and blued spade hands. Engine turned case, tiered, Jürgens design, gold lateral hinge. Dial and movement signed and numbered.
