An unused German chromed open faced lever Stowa KM/Helmut Sinn deck watch made for the German Navy, circa 1940. This rare watch is unused, in new condition, and has a chrome case with glazed sides. It features the original Stowa precision lever movement with a fine-adjusting device, 19 jewels, and No. 1047. The dial is also original and luminous, with Kriegsmarine markings, Arabic hour markers, outer minute divisions, and a subsidiary seconds dial, all complemented by blued steel hands.

Stowa
Stowa was established in 1927 by Walter Storz. The name Stowa is an abbreviation of his name, STOrz WAlter. During the 1930s, the company designed and released Bauhaus watches, which later became their famous Antea line, still available today. In 1996, Jörg Schauer, a renowned German watchmaker, acquired the brand and all trademark rights. He introduced new modern watches while staying true to the brand’s history by creating watches based on their classic designs.

The Marine Original is a visually distinctive watch that draws inspiration from a traditional pocket watch. It is based on the Marine Beobachtungsuhr pocket watches manufactured by Stowa for the German Navy in the 1940s. The Marine line features a nautical aesthetic that is very appealing, with Deck clocks being a primary inspiration. There are many Marine Chronometer-type watches, but the Stowa stands out with its German heritage, exacting execution, and typefaces used in its design.
