An extremely rare verge watch with moving digital hour by William Ringland Belfast, probably a present watch by the King of England William III. circa 1700.
A simple silver case, verge movement with extravagant pillars, splendid movement decoration, solid silver and mock pendulum, signed plate, original silvered dial, partly gilt, semi-circular dial with moving hours, half curve for the minutes from 0 to 60 on the upper part, square in the middle for setting the time, below a portrait of the King with numerous weapons, very nice condition. This watch with moving hour is very rare and was made around 1690-1710.
