A high quality large 14 carat gold full hunter cased pocket watch, made by Audemars Fréres in Brassus & Genéve, Switzerland, circa 1900. This pocket watch is a rare export version, crafted from 14 carat gold, it is à-goutte (water drop) shaped and it bears the hallmark of Audemars Fréres. The watch features three covers, all made of gold, with the dust cover signed and numbered 151686. The medal table and identification as the court watchmaker of the Russian Tsar’s House further add to its historical significance. The original and well-preserved white enamel dial features red gold hands and the movement quality of this pocket watch is exceptional, boasting Geneva Striping decoration, a nickel plated export version lever escapement, screwed gold chatons, and a fine adjustment.
