Interesting deck watch with virgule escapement

A technically very interesting coach/deck watch with special chain winding and virgule escapement, Laborie Paris, circa 1806-1820. A fire-gilt, decorated, winding by pulling the chain, or alternatively via central shaft, extravagant and very interesting movement with virgule escapement, also extravagant and interesting enamel dial, 2 x 60 minutes, Breguet Souscription steel hands, signed Laborie, movement intact, revision recommended. The watch is very extravagant and highly interesting, it was most likely used for observation purposes.

The French watchmaker Laborie worked at the same time with such famous watchmakers as Breguet and is also famous very experimental and inventive pieces. Amongst others, he made, as well as Breguet, as one of the first French watchmaker pocket watches with the complication “Seconde Morte”.
