A Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1900. Swiss engine turned nickel plate movement with cut and compensated balance wheel, blued steel overcoiled spring, 2 steel hammers striking on a gong.
White enamel dial signed Hausmann & Co., black Arabic numerals with outer five-minute divisions, blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds at 6, plain polished 18 carat gold case, signed dial and cuvette, slide repeat in the band,

Hausmann & Co. is one of the most historically significant and enduring luxury watch and jewellery retailers in Italy. Founded in Rome in 1794 by the German clockmaker Giovanni Romano Hausmann, the firm began as a small watchmaking workshop in the historic Palazzo Piombino before expanding into its famous flagship boutique on Via del Corso.
