An extremely rare, astronomic Italian gentleman’s pocket watch with equation / indication of sunrise and sunset, circa 1810.
Silver tiered and engine turned case with case maker punch mark “MP”. Enamel dial with eccentric hour indicator with Roman numerals, two subsidiary dials for date indication, aperture for sunrise and sunset and blued Breguet hands. Full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, signed, chain/fusee, solid moulded pillars, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued balance spring, fine florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
