A large, extraordinary enamel spindle watch with a rare depiction of a palace and with a very fine sequin enamel technique, circa 1800.
Gold-plated spindle movement. Leton, set with gemstones on both sides (some missing stones), on the reverse extremely unusual enamel work, background in midnight blue enamel, in front of it a multicoloured palace with columns and splendid decorations, elaborate sequin technique with inlaid multicoloured gold inlays. Enamel dial with Arabic radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic fifteen minutes numerals, and gold-plated hands.
