A large silver pocket watch with three cases, made for the Ottoman market by Edward Prior in London, Great Britain, circa 1839. It has a heavily curved protective case, decorated with a D star on both sides, the 2nd case covered with tortoiseshell and the 3rd case also silver and smooth with London Hallmarks 1839, an enamel dial with Ottoman numerals and a magnificent fire-gilded verge movement with the typical Edward Prior cock with the initials EP.
