Silver lever pocket watch
–
A very rare and large anker chronometer pocket watch with an extract from the archives made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1889. This particular watch boasts a plain numbered open faced solid silver case with red gold hinges. The white enamel dial features Arabic hour numerals, outer minute divisions, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. The numbered movement has a moustache lever escapement, a particularly large balance wheel and wolf’s toothing. It demonstrates Patek Philippe’s commitment to precision and innovation.
The watch is signed on the dial, cuvette and movement, and the latter two are also engraved with the work number.
