Gold complicated pocket watch

A very fine and rare Swiss 18K yellow gold, keyless, astronomic, quarter repeating pocket watch. With a perpetual calendar, moon phases and lunar calendar by B. Poitevin, Genève, circa 1900. Made for Rizzoli Paris. Gold hinged cuvette engraved with the retailer’s details. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and red-painted five-minute numerals, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months, the date and the seconds, aperture for the moon phase with a lunar calendar. Gold spade hands. Frosted gilt, 23 jewels, straight-line calibrated and counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Cuvette signed for the retailer, pillar plate with Poitevin’s mark.
