A Swiss silver hunting cased verge pocket watch with decimal and duodecimal revolutionary time, circa 1795. Gilt full plate movement, pierced and engraved balance cock. White enamel dial, Roman numerals to indicate French Revolutionary time, outer red Arabic numerals for duodecimal time and a blued steel hand for the minutes, painted with the flags of the Revolution. Polished case. Dial and movement signed.
