A Swiss gold hunting cased double dialed calendar watch with moon phase made for the Spanish market, last quarter 19th century. Nickel finished bridge pattern movement, manual winding, jeweled through the third wheel, counterpoised lever escapement, bimetallic balance, overcoiled spring. Silver dial enhanced with gilt garlands, Roman chapters, central aperture for moon phase, subsidiary seconds, blued hands, second rear dial a hinged calendar plate with concentric adjustable day and date rings and month aperture, enclosing engraved Spanish Royal coat-of-arms, blued indicating hand. 18 Carat gold case, both lids engraved with leafy garland surrounding decorative cartouche.
