A fine and rare American 14 carat gold hunting cased keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1893. ¾ Plate nickel-finished lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with a central depiction of a steamboat in a harbour, decorative red Roman hours, outer red Arabic five-minute numerals, sunken subsidiary seconds dial with geometric motif and the letters PL. Fluted case, hinged back. Movement signed and numbered, case and cuvette numbered.
