An American gold double dial chronograph by Waltham, circa 1874. 15 Jewel movement, gilt with Lugrin’s chronograph activated by button in band, stem wind, lever set. White enamel dial, signed ‘American Watch Co’, red minute numerals, Arabic chapters, subsidiary seconds at 9 o’clock, the back with open 60-second ring to view chronograph work and blued hands. 14 Carat plain polished case, rear lid to lock chronograph button.
