An exceptional and rare Swiss gold chronometer spring detent and spherical gold balance spring, 1 minute tourbillon regulator and thermometer, circa 1820. Gilt 3/4 plate movement, the back plate secured by three screws, fusee with maintaining power, 11 jewels, gold wheel train with spring detent escapement, two arm compensation balance with wedge shaped weights and timing screws, freesprung spherical balance spring, 1 minute tourbillon with polished steel semi circular carriage fitted with a platinum weight. Gold cuvette with winding hole. White enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary dial for direct drive seconds and fan form aperture for Réaumur thermometer scale. Engine turned case with concentric circles to the back.
