A Swiss fine jeweled and enameled gold shell form watch pendant, late 19th century. Gilt bridge caliber movement jeweled to the center, lever escapement, bimetallic balance with flat spring, stem wound, pin set. White enamel dial, black Roman chapters, red Arabic minutes and gold hands. Stylized scallop shell case enhanced with enamel panels and set with seed pearls, cabochon rubies, emeralds and rose-cut diamonds, opening to reveal a concealed watch, suspended by a short chain from a similarly enameled and jeweled scroll-form brooch.
