A fine and unusual Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever pocket watch with personalized dial, circa 1911. Retailed by F.W. Bromberg, Birmingham, Alabama. Extra nickel finished lever movement, 23 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf’s tooth winding. Gold cuvette inscribed Made for Col. Thomas Byrd Whitted Charlotte NC by Patek Philippe & Co. Geneva Switzerland from Nell Christmas 1913. White enamel dial with blue letters spelling THOSBWHITTED for the hours and sunken subsidiary seconds dial. Monogrammed case, hinged back, gilt watch chain. Case, cuvette, dial and movement signed by maker, movement signed by retailer. Comes with the original Certificate Of Origin and presentation box.
