An English silver key wind pocket watch made for the Turkish market by Edward Prior, London, London hallmark for 1855. Gilt full plate fusee verge movement, pierced and engraved balance cock, silvered Turkish regulation, hybrid pillars. White enamel dial, Turkish numerals for hours and minutes, gilt hands. Triple cased, polished inner with winding hole to back, polished silver second case, tortoiseshell covered third case with silver studs. Dial and movement signed, case stamped ‘EB’.
