Silver anker chronometer with rose gold details

An impressive, oversized Swiss silver and rose gold open faced anker chronometer made by Perret & Fils in Les Brenets, circa 1900. Delivered to the royal watchmaker Chaudé in Paris, France. The very fine bridge movement, ∅ 66 mm, with a piston tooth lever escapement and large, 25 mm, gold screw compensation balance. The cuvette is engraved Chaudé Hger de la Marine de l’État 35 Palais Royal Paris. A coat of arms with a crown in high relief above on the case back, punched with maker’s mark ADP. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and rose gold crucifix shaped hands with a black enamel inlay. Dial signed, case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
