Silver quarter repeating coach clock by Johann Michael Gugenmos

An important Polish silver pair cased quarter repeating coach clock with alarm and date, circa 1750. Full plate movement, chain/fusee, lavishly florally engraved barrel for alarm, 3 hammers, verge escapement, three armed brass balance. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, special ring with Arabic numerals for the date indication, central date hand and decorative hands. Outer and inner case around the edge florally engraved and pierced, with rear bell. Movement signed.

Johann Michael Gugenmos is also recorded as Gugenmoos, Gugenmaus, Gugenmos. He was was clockmaker to the court at the end of 17th/beginning of 18th century in Warsaw.
