A Belgium rare movement of a deck chronometer with spring detent escapement, circa 1829.
Engine turned 18 carat gold case, reeded, dome signed and punched with 1829. White signed dial with Roman numerals for the hours, subsidiary dial for the seconds and Breguet blued hands. Full plate chronometer movement, frosted, gilt, spring detent escapement with adjusting devices, bimetallic chronometer balance with 2 gold screws and 2 trapezoidal weights, freesprung blued helical balance hairspring, diamond endstone, keywind. Main plate signed and numbered.

Antoine Sacré, or Antoine Sacré, worked as a watchmaker in Belgium around 1825. Circa 1806 he was living in Aalst (Alost), which is approximately 25 km west of Brussels. It is assumed that Sacré later worked in Brussels.
