A Danish 18K yellow gold key-wound Chronometer pocket watch with detent escapement, circa 1870. A polished case, reeded band, hinged cuvette with an aperture for winding and hand-setting White enamel dial with black radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt, half-plate movement, jewels in gold screwed chatons, detent escapement with an elongated fork, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, large index regulator. Dial, and movement signed, case signed T. Sandoz.
