A very fine Danish 18K pink gold keyless pocket watch with Jûrgensen’s patent 1867 bow hand setting, circa 1870. Accompanied by a copy of the Jurgensen archive.
A polished case, Jürgensen’s patented bow hand setting, glazed cover for the movement. White enamel dial with black radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. Movement with 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement with an elongated fork, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, and large index regulator with an engraved scale on the centre bridge. Case, dial, and movement signed.
