Rare jumping quarter seconds English fusee lever

A rare English center seconds lever with jumping quarter seconds in a silver open faced case, hallmarked London circa 1889. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement, barrel setup click and ratchet visible through the gilt dust cover. Harrison’s maintaining power. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, polished steel regulator with silver sector index. Compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed white enamel dial with center seconds Roman numerals, blue steel gold hands. Subsidiary for jumping quarter seconds, the hand rotating once a second, stopping briefly at the quarters. Plain silver open face case, lateral steel stop lever under the front bezel. Maker’s mark ‘JF’ and number corresponding to that on the movement.
