Johann Michael Dermer, German watchmaker
Around 1750 Johann Michael Dermer was a watchmaker in Baden-Württemberg, district of Biberach, about 40 km south of Ulm. He exported as many watches as possible to London, perhaps he acted as a representative there. The spindle pocket watch shown is dated around 1710. Jürgen Ermert mentions in his book Precision Pendulum Clocks an astronomical grandfather clock from Dermer around 1775.
