Fine gold keyless full hunter watch by A.Lange & Söhne

A rare and fine German gold hunting cased keyless lever watch with alarm,  circa 1919. The watch features a first quality frosted gilded 2/3 plate movement, signed A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte, b/Dresden, with a gold lever and escape wheel, some jewels secured in screwed gold chatons, a bimetallic compensation balance, a diamond endstone, precision swan neck regulation, and an alarm that sounds on coiled gongs. The white enamel dial, signed A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte B/Dresden, has a sunken centre, Arabic numerals, an outer minute ring, blued steel hands, a gold alarm indication hand, and a recessed subsidiary seconds dial. The 18 carat gold case features Swiss plain polished covers and a cuvette, a winding slide for the alarm on the band, and two nibs beneath the bezel for adjusting the hands and central alarm indicator, with the covers signed A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte, and numbered, also bearing Swiss and German marks.

The movement is running and the alarm is operational. The slide to the case side is winding the alarm train. The hour, minute, and alarm hands are set smoothly. There is tarnishing and oxidation on the plates. The dial is in good condition. The case has light marks and scratches, with the Lange marks slightly rubbed on the covers.
