Bi-colour gold/steel pocket watch by Rolex

An exceptionally rare and fascinating hexagonal Swiss dress watch with a bi-colour design and a Class A observatory movement, circa 1964. The watch has a hexagonal steel, red 9K gold polished case with pushback Ref. 1645 and an engraved Rolex crown. The silvered dial displays a dual-marking Swiss Made / Fab. Suisse, radial time indication in the upper half with an outer minute track, and subsidiary seconds in the lower half. The bridge movement has a decentralized minute wheel, a Rolex patent-protecting escapement cap, Breveté Francais SGDG, ULTRA PRIMA quality, and a monometallic balance.
