This exceptional watch is believed to have been one of the last from a series of approximately 10 skeletonized coin watches manufactured by Patek Philippe. The workmanship to pierce and chase the calibre 177 movement, the only size slim enough to fit into the confines of the coin casing while being large enough to skeletonize, is remarkable. Each example of skeleton movement created by Patek Philippe was finished by hand and represented the pinnacle of craftsmanship. This watch, set with diamonds and sapphires, can be considered the most desirable of all Patek Philippe skeleton coin watches created.
