A French gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless watch, Medaille de Première Classe, circa 1863. Nickel lever movement, highly jewelled, repeating on two steel gongs. Gold signed cuvette inscribed’Donné par S. A. R. Mgneur le Comte de Villafranca le 4 Novembre 1863′. White enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track, gold hands and subsidiary seconds. Engine turned case with engraved initial ‘N’ to the cover.
