Haas & Cie, was founded by Benjamin Haas and Leopold Haas in 1848 and is known for their high quality perpetual calendars, chronographs, and repeaters. In 1884, the company was renamed Haas Neveux & Cie. The presently offered watch is an extremely high quality timepiece signed B. Haas, Jr. Possibly an exhibition piece, the movement features a finely finished movement with Geneva stripes and is stamped with the Geneva Seal. The dial is further enhanced with two colors used on the enamel, black and gold, and an elaborately hand engraved moon on the moon phase dial.
