An English verge with silver champlevé date dial in silver pair cases, circa 1700. Full plate fire gilt movement with Egyptian pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel set-up between the plates.  Pierced and engraved winged cock with mask, pierced and engraved foot.  Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc. Signed silver champleve dial, rectangular aperture below the centre for the date, Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Split bezel, circular shutter to the winding aperture, silver pendant and bow. Both cases with maker’s mark IW .
