A Glashütte deck watch with power reserve indicator, circa 1940.
The case is silver. The dial is silvered with Arabic numerals, blued steel hands, a subsidiary dial for the seconds and a power reserve indicator. It has a 2/3 plate movement and a nickel steel screw compensation balance. The movement is signed.

To the best of our knowledge this is the earliest known deck watch from the famous calibre 48 series, which started with number 200,000. Other than most of the later models it still has a solid silver case with hinges. The watch is in excellent condition.
