An English verge with silver champleve dial with the sector for regulating the watch in silver pair cases, circa 1700. Full plate fire gilt movement with Egyptian pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel set-up between the plates. Pierced and engraved winged cock with mask, pierced and engraved foot. Plain steel balance. Signed silver champleve dial, blue steel and gilt sector of a disc visible below the twelve for regulating the watch with a female square. Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Silver pair cases, plain inner with split bezel, silver pendant and later ring bow, maker’s mark LD. Plain outer.
