Gold anker chronometer

A heavy, Quality Prima anker chronometer made by Zenith in Le Locle, Switzerland, circa 1920. This polished and numbered full hunter cased watch was crafted from 14 carat gold. The cuvette is engraved with eight gold prize medals from the Grand Prix Paris 1900. The gold dial has applied Arabic hour numerals 1-12, an outer minute track alternated with black Arabic 24 hours, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold heavy moon hands. The numbered movement has a lever escapement with 21 jewels and is marked Prima on the plate.
Dial, cuvette and movement are signed.
