Gold precision watch with minute repeater

An impressive full hunter cased minute repeating astronomical pocket watch made by the Union Horlogère in Bienne and Genève, Switzerland, circa 1900. The numbered very heavy case of this watch has three lids, which are all crafted from 14 carat gold and a monogram on the front lid. The white enamel dial has Arabic hours, an outer minute track, outermost fifth of a second divisions and Arabic five minute numerals, moon phases with concentric subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, the date at 12, two central apertures for the digital indication of the days of the week and month of the year, and gold hands. The glazed movement is fitted with a very fine precision lever escapement and six complications, viz, a triple calendar, moon phase indication, a minute repeater and a chronograph.
The dial is signed.
