The item presented here is a very refined Swiss collector’s watch of excellent quality.
–
It was a common practice for Swiss watchmakers like LeCoultre to manufacture “sterile,” or unbranded, dials. This was especially true for watches exported to the US market or sold to independent retail jewellers who wanted to print their own store name on the front. If the dial is blank, the official brand stamp is usually hidden inside the watch. It could be under the Barrel Bridge, the Balance Wheel or, in rarer instances, under the Dial Side.
