The Dreyfus Fréres à Bienne company was founded in 1865 in Biel. They specialized in watches for the Russian market and registered words like Moskva, Rossi, and Volga/Wolga. The company opened a branch in Péry bei Biel in 1903, the Péry Watch, which did not survive the crisis of Dreyfus Fréres à Bienne in 1930 .
In 1934, a ribbon factory for typewriters, matrices and carbon paper was founded from this location under Carfa SA.
In addition to these Russian brand names, the brand Roland was registered on November 9, 1903. It was possible for the Union Horlogère Alpina, which had a type Roland in its collection.
