Gold open faced keyless lever alarm watch
–
A fine Swiss 14 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch with an alarm function, made by Zenith around 1920. This timepiece has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, signed Zenith. The white enamel dial displays stylized black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and a smaller alarm setting dial at 12 o’clock. It is completed by blued steel hands and an alarm indicator hand. The watch is housed in a 14 carat yellow gold open faced case with a polished gold case back, a base metal bezel, an inner gold cuvette, a fluted winding crown with an integrated push button, and a sturdy round suspension bow.
