Gold open faced keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 14 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch made by Vacheron & Constantin in Geneva, circa 1900. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, signed by the maker. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, outer black 13 to 24 hour markers, a railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and classic gold spade hands. The timepiece is housed in a 14 carat solid yellow gold open faced case. It features a beautifully engraved monogram on the polished case back and an inner gold cuvette signed Vacheron & Constantin Genève. The watch includes a fluted winding crown and a sturdy round suspension bow stamped with the Swiss ecureuil hallmark.
