A yellow gold and enamel open faced watch, made in 1911, retailed by S. Nordlinger & Sons, Los Angeles, Ca. Manual winding movement, 20 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance.
White enamel dial, painted black radial Roman numerals, Breguet hands, subsidiary seconds, outer minute track, 18k yellow gold case, bezels and pendant enhanced with black enamel Greek key pattern, hinged 18k yellow gold cuvette, case and dial signed by maker, cuvette and movement signed by maker and retailer.

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the year of manufacture in 1911 and sale in 1912, with bezel and pendant base decorated with Greek-style ornaments in black enamel.

This watch is double signed on the movement to include the retailer, S. Nordlinger & Sons, Los Angeles, CA.
Simon Nordlinger was watchmaker from Alsace, a French region along the Swiss border. He established S. Nordlinger in 1869. The firm is now considered one of the pioneer merchants of Los Angeles, expanding to later include the Nordlinger sons.
