Pocket watch with striking mechanism

A top quality large skeleton cylinder watch with striking mechanism, made by Perrin Frères, In Neuchâtel, Switzerland, circa 1820. The numbered open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 Carat red gold, is marked with the master’s mark “C&LL” and has an engine turned back with an empty cartouche at the bottom. The white enamel dial is skeletonized, has black Arabic hour numerals and blued Breguet hands. The numbered movement is glazed on both sides, has a skeletonized cylinder escapement with quarter hour repeater on blued snake shaped gongs.
Dial and movement are signed.
