A fine Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced, quarter repeating, musical cylinder pocket watch, circa 1820. The watch features an empire style three body case with polished and engine turned edges, a gilded metal bowl, and key winding. It is fitted with a cylinder movement, quarter repeating on demand, and plays music on the hour. The textured rose gold dial features enamelled hour markers, Arabic numerals, a blued steel Bréguet hour hand, and a blued steel lance minute hand. A stopwatch slider is positioned at 9 o’clock.
