Gold open faced chronograph minute repeating lever watch
–
A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced chronograph and minute repeating pocket watch from the early 20th century. It features a hand wound mechanical movement with a spiral balance, a lever escapement, and an advance/retard adjustment rack. A slide in the band activates the striking mechanism and operates a two hammer gong chime for the minute repeater. A single push button on the pendant activates the chronograph. The white enamel dial shows Breguet numerals for the hours, two vertical counters for the 30 minute and seconds indications, an outer railway minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, Breguet style hands, and a central chronograph hand. The round 18 carat yellow gold case is smooth with a hinged back and a plain gold cuvette.
