A fine Swiss heavy and large, 18K gold, minute-repeating, hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch with chronograph, perpetual calendar, phases of the moon and lunar calendar, and plique-a-jour enamel decoration, circa 1900.
White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions and outermost 1/5 chronograph divisions, four subsidiary dials for the month and leap year indicator, day, date and moon phases combined with constant seconds. Plique-a-jour enamel decorated case, repeating slide and chronograph button in the band. Matte gilt movement, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Signature on the movement beneath the hour hammer, and cuvette with engraved EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE 1900.
