A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased pocket chronometer watch, circa 1900. This watch features a lever movement. It has a white enamelled dial with Roman numerals for the hours, outer railway minute divisions, a subsidiary seconds dial, and spade hands. The case is made of 18 carat yellow gold with a double guilloché cover. Signed on the dial: Jeannot à Genève.

Paul Jeannot produced watches in Geneva, Le Locle, and La Chaux-de-Fonds. The Paul Jeannot brand was registered in 1880. For some time, he also held the Paul Perret trademark, registered in 1888. The Azur PJ trademark was registered in 1890. In the same year, on 7 July 1890, “Paul Jeannot – Paul Perret – Patent” was registered. The PJ trademark was added in 1892. The company manufactured highly complicated, high quality watches.
