Gold hunting cased keyless lever repeating chronograph
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch with chronograph and minute repeating complications, circa 1900. It has a high grade mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement and twin hammer strike mechanism, inscribed Répétition de Qualité and numbered on the inner protective cuvette. The white enamel dial features black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer track with a specialized chronograph tachymeter scale numbered from 25 to 300, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, a long central chronograph seconds hand, and blued steel spade hands.
–
The timepiece is housed in a substantial, heavy round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold full hunter case. This case has a smooth, plain polished spring hinged front cover, a matching smooth polished reverse back cover, an integrated push button for the chronograph, a sliding lever along the caseband to activate the repeating chime, a fluted winding crown, a sturdy round suspension bow, and a solid 18 carat gold inner protective cuvette.
