–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced quarter repating pocket watch with matching 18 carat gold chain, circa 1900. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a cylinder escapement, set by a small pin button near the stem. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals from 5 to 60, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and filigree hands. The timepiece is housed in a smooth, round, 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case with a plain, polished reverse back cover. It features a fluted winding crown, a sturdy suspension bow, and a solid 18 carat gold inner protective cuvette with fine engine turned borders. The watch comes with an openwork link 18 carat yellow gold chain fitted with a spring ring clasp.
